And now for the September Glossybox, which brings us back up to speed! I have to say, ever since my sweet friend gifted me with this subscription, each month has brought me new and interesting beauty delights. There have been very few products that haven’t at least been good, and most have been truly excellent.

One of my commenters had mentioned wondering if these boxes are really personalized for each user. This is something I’ve noticed subscribers complaining about elsewhere. As far as I can tell, the contents are pretty much the same, regardless of all the personal info they have you fill out. The only differences I see are minor things like nail polish color- which seems more random than personally chosen.

Since the sub was a gift to me, I honestly hadn’t really noticed and have definitely not been bothered by this. I think if I was actually paying each month it might irk me a little.

Anyway! I promised I would mention that and now we can move on to the shiny treats in the September Harper’s Bazaar Box!

First off we have Essie nail polish in She’s Pampered (496). I am usually not the biggest Essie fan, their formula just doesn’t work well with my nails, but I LOVE this color. It seems to have a little more dark pink hue than the normal crimson red I wear. I just found it quite flattering and lovely. ($8.50 RV)

Next we have Bvlgari Eau Parfumee Au The Vert Conditioner. This is a lightweight conditioner scented with the refreshing, clean, classic Bvlgari fragrance. Really nice if you like to layer your perfume with body products- but at $45 for a 6.5 oz bottle, probably not something I’m going to be buying soon.

Also included was a .51 oz jar of Vichy Liftactiv Nuit, a repair cream for the face that’s supposed to provide 24 hours of moisturization, along with anti-aging properties. ($50/ 1.69 fl oz.)

I’ve been seeing lip tars everywhere and was curious to try them. The box included Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar in Black Dahlia. The tube is black but the tar itself is a sultry siren red that dries to a matte finish. Since I’m kind of addicted to gloss and glitter, I think I’d be more likely to wear this as a long-lasting base with a sheer shiny gloss on top. ($18.00 RV)

And last but not least we have Benefit They’re Real! Mascara. I’ve purchased this from Sephora before and was very happy with the results. The fuzzy little caterpillar  brush really does volumize and bring out every tiny lash. (Full size RV $23.00)

Rant or rave, I'll love you just the same:
