The summer is always one of my favorite times to dive into new books. There’s nothing better than long, lazy afternoons on the back deck with dappled sunlight flitting through the trees, a stack of books by my side and an ice cold glass of lemonade, frosted with condensation.

The Book Of The Month Club makes it easy to keep your reading stack overflowing, with monthly shipments right to your door. June’s selections will go out on the 15th, so if you hurry you can get in on this month’s exciting selections.

PLUS they have a great offer for new customers, from 6/1-6/30: 30% off 3-month Book of the Month memberships with code SUMMER30 .

Check out the selections they’re offering this month:

I’m most intrigued by Veins of the Ocean, which according to Judge Roxane Gay is “Lush and entrancing, steeped in love and sorrow, faith and myth… A novel about redemption and place and home and the bonds of family, how inescapable they are, for better and worse.”

Enchanted Islands also sounds unusual and not quite like anything else I’ve read. “The author has re-imagined one of the stranger episodes of Galapagos history as something of an intelligence race, an ex-spy’s tell-all, ” says judge Alexander Chee.

Before the Fall sounds like an apt and timely tome for out reality television obsessed society: “A plausible, well-paced look at the ghoulish side of celebrity, with realistic depictions of the media circus, the jockeying among investigators, the invasion of privacy, and the guilt that can afflict survivors of tragedy.”

So many choices! Slow down summer days so we can read a little longer.
