MIRA Lunch Jars – Small – Pink Review

MIRA Lunch Jars – Small – Pink Review

We had our first real cold snap the other day- much too early and much too cold, I might mention! It got me thinking about how much I appreciate a hot drink or a warm lunch on a blustery day. Just that small comfort can warm both your tummy and your heart and make the day glow a little brighter.

This was the perfect chance to test out the Small Lunch Jar from Mira. Mine, of course, is in an adorable Hello Kitty  pink shade. It felt like a hot chocolate kind of day, so I dug out my delicious stock of Starbucks peppermint cocoa, mixed it up nice and hot, poured it into the handy wide-mouthed container and tucked it into my bag to have during my afternoon errands.

The 10 oz capacity jar has a heavy-duty feeling, with a premium grade 18/8 entirely stainless steel interior. The outside is the pretty pink shade with a brown lid that twists in and feels secure and leak-proof. The box says the insulated jar is able to keep items hot for up to 5 hours and cold up to 10 hours. In my tests I found this to be true. Later that afternoon, the cocoa was still perfectly hot and definitely took the chill off of my day.

The jar is also BPA free and contains no phthalate, which is important to me with an item I’m going to be reusing often for food. I could easily see myself using this all winter for hot soups and drinks and during the warm months to keep fresh fruit cold for a refreshing snack. These would also be great for football games on brisk fall evenings!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

  1. I love the look of these and how durable they are. This would certainly eliminate the need for a lot of plastic!!!
