In my quest to provide healthier snacks for my family, I’ve tried a LOT of weird and unusual things. Harvest Snaps may sound like one of the more strange, being made out of peas and lentils, but they’re also one of the tastiest!
Snapea Crisps are made with 70% all-natural peas while Lentil Snaps come packed with 65% authentic lentils and their powerful combination of nutrients.
With each handful your body will soak up Vitamin B, calcium, iron, folate, potassium and dietary fiber. Finish that off with a high level of protein and fiber and you’re sure to feel satisfied without feeling sluggish. Not to mention, these snappy little snacks are gluten-free.
I had the chance to try a combination of some of their special holiday flavors and their regular popular varieties. The normal flavors included Black Pepper and Lightly Salted. I love how the crisps are molded to resemble actual peas, it’s a super cute touch. They have a unique texture, sort of like a cheese puff but lighter. I think of these two, I enjoyed the Lightly Salted most- the subtle seasoning allows the natural flavor to really shine.
The holiday flavors I tried included Coffee Toffee and Salted Caramel. These aren’t as sweet as I expected, the sweetness is actually very low-key. The Salted Caramel may be my favorite of all the flavors, both savory and sweet at the same time without being overwhelming.
More importantly, the passed the “kid test”. All of the girls enjoyed them and I know I will purchase more of these in the future.
Harvest Snaps have generously offered a mixed box of flavors for one of my readers. You will receive some normal and some holiday flavors!
