Helping Hand Review

I’m constantly propping my iPad mini up on things to use it more easily- books, magazines, pillows- which is probably a precarious-at-best plan. So I was intrigued to try out the Helping Hand, a stand made perfectly to hold your tablet, iPod or phone.

I was a little skeptical when I first unpacked it. It’s made of heavy-duty plastic but overall has a very light and insubstantial feel. Would this really support my expensive electronics without tipping over and breaking them?

It seems I worried for nothing, though. The stand is actually quite sturdy and stable. The bottom is open and hollow, so if you were in a moving car or boat you could easily slip it over something stationary to anchor it better.

The top surface is tilted at a perfect angle for reading and typing. The Helping Hand comes with a sticky pad that adheres to the top of the stand and then sticks to the back of your device, holding it firmly in place. The sticky pad is easily washable and reusable!

I can think of tons of uses for this- from just a safe place to store your phone or tablet on your desk, to a handy tool in the kitchen (I like to bake using online recipes, and having this stand to prop up the iPad at perfect reading height will definitely help keep me from getting sticky food fingerprints all over it!). It’s also great for making videos, you can just stick your device to the pad and turn it on its side to face you- no more having to bug someone to help film you.

It comes in black or white to blend in with your electronics- though if you’re a little wacky like me, it MIGHT end up covered in glittery stickers or punk band logos!

I was happy with my experience and will continue to use this handy invention.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
