The weather here is such a strange mixture- well especially lately when the summer was so cool it barely felt like spring and some days in the fall have reached heat levels not seen all summer. Very confusing! But normally the winters are cold and dry and have us bringing out the humidifiers to help us breath, while the summers are sultry and humid, the air so thick with moisture that the opposite is needed.
Living along a creek bank in the forest, I worry about mold or mildew creeping in during those humid months or during times of flooding, so I was pleased to try out the Gurin Mid-Sized Electric Dehumidifier.
I found it easy to set up right out of the box, with just a few pieces of tape to remove. The parts fit together intuitively, I attached the heavy-duty plug and it was ready to go. The plastic feels durable yet lightweight.
The dehumidifier runs very quietly, it isn’t intrusive at all. I like that it has a spill-proof collection container- ones I’ve owned in the past have been messy to empty or move. I also like that it automatically shuts off and displays a light when the reservoir becomes full. No worries about over-running it. This particular model holds up to 1500 ml of water, which I think is a good size for most rooms.
Overall I had a great experience- it did what it was meant to do, it did it well and quietly. What more could I ask?
