I’ve had such fun receiving these fun packages from Glossybox each month and sharing them with you! One of the nicest parts is that each time they arrive, I’m reminded of one of my sweetest, funniest friends and her total generosity. With Thanksgiving lurking around the corner, I’m definitely remembering to count my blessings and hold close the people who have been most loyal and loving.
I know, I get a little misty-eyed nostalgic this time of year. It can’t be helped! But onward to the shiny pretties from the October box.
This month’s box was pretty in pink, I’m sure with a nod towards Breast Cancer Awareness month. I continue to love these sturdy, fashionable boxes and have saved every single one for storing jewelry, cosmetics and stationary.
Tarte always has the cutest makeup and this Power Pigment in Flush is no exception. This is a self-sharpening lip pencil that gives you a pretty staining effect. I know matte is in, but I will forever be a glossy girl and so would add a layer of slick sparkle on top. (Full-size, $24.00)
Next we have Proganix Reparative Oil + Anti-Breakage. This is the perfect time of year for treatmenst that rejuvenate dry, damaged hair. I’m generally a John Frieda fan, but this one works well too. (3.3 oz, $11.99)
Another addition to the matte madness: Nails Inc. Westminster Bridge Top Coat. I do like experimenting with how this transforms my current nail polishes, though I think I’m still more likely to at least mix and match high shine with a few matte accents! (Full-size, $10.00)
Sesha’s Cell White Brightening Mask. I haven’t tried this yet, but it’s supposed to give your face a brighter, refreshed glow. At $9.00 per treatment, I certainly hope so.
And last is the lovely Amore perfume by Vince Camuto. This scent is sweet and romantic, with flowery notes as well as a deeper base that isn’t too musky or overpowering. The bottom notes are cashmere, sandlewood and amber. (the box contained a mini bottle, the full size is $78.00)
