With all the crazy new trends in beauty and skincare that seem to be screaming for our attention every day, sometimes it’s good to get back to basics. The thing is, fads are fun, but people have been using certain products for years and years because they work. I feel this is the case with Dionis’ Goat Milk Skincare line.
They’ve been in business for over 30 years, and I know humans have been using goat milk as an ingredient to soften and beautify the skin for probably thousands of years before that. The goat milk in their products contains naturally occurring vitamins, lipids and triglycerides that fortify skin and help prevent moisture loss.
They offer a variety of scents, but my favorite is Blue Ridge Wildflower. It’s a sweet, light floral that’s meant to evoke the upland meadows of Virginia- which are honestly not much different than the wildflower meadows of Ohio. It’s a scent that evokes childhood and home for me, languorous summer days stretching as endlessly as the blue sky, bumble bees lazy and fat with pollen, the sun kissing the petal-strewn hollows and hills.
Dionis’ Goat Milk Lotion is great for applying all over your body, leaving your skin soft and gently scented. The Hand Cream is great to keep by the sink to reinvigorate and protect your skin after chores or handwashing. If you wear a floral perfume, this isn’t overpowering at all and will probably blend nicely.
I have received samples to facilitate my review, but all opinions are my own.
