Create Beautiful Bows with Bowdabra #TOYHGG

I have received sample items to facilitate this post.

I’ve noticed that even experienced crafters can feel daunted when it comes to wrapping packages. It really is kind of an artform all to itself. From choosing paper, tags and ribbon that don’t horribly clash, to wrangling a piece of paper that’s the appropriate size, to not taping your fingers together (maybe that last one is just me), by the time you get to the bow you can sometimes be exhausted. Especially when you have a mountain of presents that all need dressing.

Enter this nifty little gadget called the Bowdabra! It allows you to make gorgeous, professional-looking bows in literally just minutes, using an ultra-easy three-step process. It takes away all of the guess work and fumbling. Plus it can be used for more than giftwrapping- you can make pretty hair bows and wedding favors. You are limited only by your imagination. They also sell kits with all of the supplies you need already packed together.

Mini Bowdabra
I love that the company is women-owned!

I checked out the cute Mini Bowdabra, which is just a smaller version of the original. It truly was the simplest thing in the world. It comes with an instruction booklet, but you basically just cut your length of ribbon that will tie things together and place it in one slot in the Bowdabra. Then you fold your ribbon into as many loops as you want and place those in the opposite slot. Add any embellishment you might want, press down with the Wand, tie your first ribbon together loosely and pull the bow out. Tighten and fluff the bow until it looks exactly how you wish! Reading all of that probably took longer than actually doing it, it’s very simple and intuitive.

I made a few easy bows to start off, but I plan to buy more supplies and really see how creative I can get with it. This is one of those as-seen-on-tv products that seriously works and could be useful in your every-day life. I don’t say this lightly, because I have a long history of absolute failures with tv-approved junk. This one I feel will come in so handy during this holiday season, while making making my gift-wrapping skills look effortlessly impressive.

The large Bowdabra retails for $18.99 and can be purchased on Amazon, Walmart.com, or retail stores like Michael’s, Joanne Fabrics, and Hobby Lobby.
