I’ve tried several of these beauty blender brushes, including the super high-end version, but the Black Charcoal Blender Sponge was new to me. First of all, I like that it comes in its own little case to keep it clean between uses.
The sponge itself is lightweight and very soft to the touch. It has a density that keeps the makeup on the surface instead of absorbing it wholly into the brush. This makes for less wasted product, which is nice, especially if you’re using a good quality makeup.
The sponge has that now-classic egg shape that makes application a breeze. The wide end is great for blending the flat planes and open curves of your face, while the pointed end is perfect for getting into the smaller nooks such as beside your nose and near your eyes. The key t perfect makeup is blend, blend, BLEND, and this sponge is the most effective tool I’ve found for doing so.
It is also easy to care for, you just wash it with water and a bit of your facial cleanser, let dry thoroughly and you’re ready to use it again. This is definitely a beauty sponge I will keep on hand as part of my routine.
