Barbecue Grill Light Review + Giveaway! Ends 08/29

This Barbecue Grill Light keeps making me think of my friend Ellen, whose grilling aptitude has taken on mythological proportions in my mind. I picture her with a massive spatula on one hip, a bottle of BBQ sauce on the other, firing up the grill during hurricanes, snowstorms, tsunamis, you name it!

Now, I can only aspire to Ellen-level grilling prowess and you probably won’t catch me barbequing in mittens or galoshes, BUT I do enjoy lingering get-togethers on my deck during the summer and early fall. The best ones start in the afternoon and can last late into the evening, everyone settling down to eat well after dark when heat has lost its edge and the sweat has cooled.

The grill lantern from Kuisiware turns out to be one of those extremely helpful things that makes life easier, yet I never knew existed before. If you’ve ever tried to judge the doneness of steak or grilled baked potatoes by the light of tiki torches and citronella candles, you’ll understand what I’m saying.

The light was simple to install and comes with 3 AA batteries (that can last up to 12 hours). My biggest challenge was finding a small enough screw driver to open the tiny screw on the battery compartment. Having accomplished that, everything else was a breeze. The light clamps onto the handle of your grill with an easily adjustable screw clamp. It is super bright, with 10 LED lights and easily swivels 180 degrees horizontally and vertically so you can point the light exactly where you need it. The casing is heat-resistant and blended right in with my grill- it easily looked like could have come pre-installed.

It makes cooking at night so much nicer, but can even be useful during the day if you’re in a shady spot or the grill hood is casting shadows over the food.

They also offer a 30 day money back guarantee plus 12 month replacement policy, which is always a good sign.

I can actually see using this in lots of places other than the grill- really anywhere you need a bright, portable work light that has a surface to clamp on to. Also during camping, power outages, all kinds of things.

I’m excited because I get to share one of these handy lights with my readers! Now when you tell everyone I brighten up your life, you can mean it literally.

  2. Yes, I have grilled in the snow. The power went out and we grilled on the deck. Kids loved it.

  4. Living in Texas where it rarely snows, I have never done that. But my favorite thing to grill is beef and chicken fajitas.
