My bedroom is my own personal oasis, where I can retreat and relax from the maddening stresses of each day. I think it deserves to be done up in queenly fashion, with soft, soothing textures like velvet and faux fur, silk and down. I like to change to something a bit lighter and airier in the summer months, so I was curious to try these 100% Tencel Sheets.
The set I received was a pretty, dusky rose pink color that went well with the current pink and red theme I’m cultivating. I like that the sheets have extra deep poets that fit up to a 16″ mattress- I can’t stand when the pockets don’t quite fit and you’re left struggling to force them in place. It never ends well and you know they’re going to shift and ride up while you sleep.
The fabric has a little bit of a sheen to it and is super soft to the touch, almost like a t-shirt fabric, but more substantial. The stitching as well as the fabric itself have a high-quality feel.
Tencel is extracted from eucalyptus trees, making these sheets eco-friendly and hypoallergenic. I find that pretty cool, especially for those with allergies to other synthetic or natural fibers.
The queen sized set comes with a flat and fitted sheet as well as two pillowcases. The fabric isn’t overly wrinkly, fresh from the package, after being put on the bed and smoothed out, the sheets didn’t need to be ironed, they were acceptably wrinkle-free. They also didn’t fall apart in the wash like some cheap sheets do. They retained their color without any fading.
Overall I was very happy. These make a soft, cool, refreshing change for summer!
